At a joint event with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President Trump announced a series of agreements totaling $243 billion. Among the most notable was a historic aircraft purchase deal between Qatar Airways and American aerospace giant’s Boeing and GE Aerospace.

Under the $96 billion deal, Qatar Airways will purchase 210Boeing aircraft, including 787 Dreamliners and 777X models. Initially, 160 aircraft will be delivered. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg was present at the signing. President Trump described it as the “largest order inBoeing’s history.”

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman hoped the total investment would soon reach $1 trillion.

After concluding his Qatar visit, Trump is scheduled to travel to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday (May 15), which will mark the end of his four-day tour of the Middle East.
