47th BCS Application Process Begins with New Rules and Reduced Fees
The online application process for the 47th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations officially began on Sunday and will remain open until January 31, 2025.
This year’s BCS application comes with significant changes, according to the Public Service Commission (PSC). Notably, the application fee has been slashed from Tk 700 to Tk 200, making the process more accessible to a larger number of candidates.
In addition, the marks for the viva voce (oral examination) have been reduced from 200 to 100, marking a substantial adjustment in the evaluation process. These changes aim to streamline the BCS selection procedure while reducing financial and preparation burdens on applicants.
The application process for the 47th BCS was earlier suspended, with the PSC subsequently announcing a revised schedule alongside the updated rules. These reforms have been widely appreciated by aspiring candidates.
Applicants can complete their registration through the official BCS application portal. The PSC has urged candidates to adhere to the deadline and ensure that all necessary documentation is submitted accurately.
The 47th BCS examination is expected to attract thousands of candidates vying for positions in various government cadres, continuing the tradition of the BCS as one of the most prestigious recruitment examinations in the country.
