Boy and two adults slain in the Biddeston shooting at a house close to Toowoomba

After a shooting at a home in the Darling Downs, west of Brisbane, three persons have died.

The victims, according to the police, were a boy, 7, and a lady, 27 years old. The man was 52 years old.

They died, according to the police, from gunshot wounds.

It is understood that paramedics summoned police to the Biddeston, near Toowoomba, property at 6:55 p.m. on Monday.

Then, before approaching the house on Biddeston-Southbrook Road, the officers waited for assistance.

David Isherwood, a detective inspector, stated that police were certain there was no risk to public safety.

“This is a terrible situation that has claimed the lives of a woman and her son,” he stated.

“I must stress that we are in the early stages of our investigation, however it would appear that two of the deaths are suspicious and the death of the man is non-suspicious.”On Monday night, forensic teams came late, and scientific officers remained on the scene by morning. The road is still blocked off.

Biddeston, according to Paul Farmer, owner of the neighborhood convenience shop, is a small, tight-knit community.

“Everybody knows everybody in this thing,” he stated.

“When I noticed the flashing lights, I mistook it for a car crash.

“But I went out there and saw all of the news crews and everything – one of the news crews told me three people were dead.”
