Nine Senior Ansar and VDP Officials Transferred in Bangladesh

Following a conflict with students at the Secretariat, the government this night transferred nine top Ansar and VDP officials, including a deputy commandant.

The moves were notified in a gazette notice issued by Fouzia Khan, deputy secretary at Ansar Section-1 of the Public Security Division, Ministry of Home Affairs.

Deputy Commandant Md Nurul Hasan Faridi has reportedly been reassigned to the Khulna range from Safipur in Gazipur and will hold charge as Deputy Director there.

And also Md Saifullah Russell moved from Chattogram range to Dhaka’s headquarters (operations); Shah Ahmad Fazle Rabbi moved from Khulna to Rajshahi; Mohammad Abdul Awal moved from Sylhet to Mymensingh; Kamrun Nahar moved from Rajshahi to Gazipur’s Safipur; Md Saifur Rahman moved from Mymensingh to Chattogram; Md Ashraful Alam moved from Barishal to Dhaka range; and Md Ziaul Hasan, who moved from Dhaka range to Sylhet.
