A Woman Was Killed by a Bus in Gazipur, Bangladesh

A bus accident in Gazipur claimed the life of an unidentified woman. Witnesses claimed that when the bus was shoved, enraged locals stopped it and lit it on fire.

Around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, the tragedy happened on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in the Board Bazar region.

The accuracy of this material was verified by Joydevpur’s Model Fire Service duty officer, Firefighter Abu Sayed. According to him, the fire was put out by fire service inspector Rajib Hossain, who responded to the scene.

Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police, Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, responded to a question concerning this by saying, “After learning of the incident, the police went to the location, removed the deceased woman’s body, and impounded the bus.” The bus attendant and driver were assaulted. They are now being treated at a nearby hospital.

From Gazipur to Dhaka, an Uzanbhati Paribahan bus was traveling. About 9:00 p.m., a woman was struck by a bus in the Board Bazar area. The woman passed away instantly. The bus was set on fire by enraged individuals who also beat the driver and his helper.
