An Attack on a Shrine in Savar, Bangladesh
In Savar, Dhaka, a shrine was stormed and set on fire.
Around ten o’clock on Sunday night, an attack occurred at the shrine and home of Kazi Afsar Uddin in the Chakulia neighborhood of Bangaon Union in the Thana.
Bricks were thrown at the residence until one in the morning, according to Jewel Rana, the officer-in-charge (OC) of the Savar Model Police Station.
We, the army and the police administration, have arrived at our destination, he declared. Bricks were thrown at the residence by demonstrators and locals alike. There are initiatives in place to stabilize the situation.
The son of Kazi Afsar Uddin, Gholam Rasul, reported that a motorcycle was burn and our house’s gate was set on fire. Brickbats were thrown, shattering the windows.
