Anisul, Salman, Palak Shown Arrested in Murder Cases in Bangladesh
During the quota reform movement, former Law Minister Anisul Haque, then Prime Minister’s Advisor on Private Industries Salman F Rahman, former ICT State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak and former Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun were arrested in multiple murder cases filed at Badda and Khilgaon police stations.
Salman F. Rahman has been arrested in three cases filed in the police stations of Badda and Khilgaon in relation to the deaths of Emdadul Haque, Taufiqul Islam Bhuiyan, and Hasan Mahmud. Anisul Haque has been arrested in two cases filed at the Badda police station in connection with the deaths of Taufiqul Islam Bhuiyan, Abdul Jabbar Sumon, and Sirajul Bepari.
Chowdhury In connection with the six-year-old deaths of Jabir Ibrahim, Fazlul Karim, Anwar Hossain, Abdul Qadir, Jashim, Omar Nurul Abshar, Sohag Mia, Abdul Hannan, Ashiqul Islam, and Mizanur Rahman, Abdullah Al-Mamun was previously detained in Bhatara, Khilgaon, Uttara East, and Uttara West. Ten more murder cases that were submitted to the police station included arrests.
Palak has been arrested in two cases filed at Badda Police Station regarding the death of Emdadul Haque and Taufiqul Islam in the recent quota reform movement.
