Another 10 Bangladeshis Who Protested in the UAE Returned Home
Ten additional Bangladeshi laborers went back home Wednesday night, out of the 57 who had demonstrated in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) against student discrimination.
So far, a total of 24 workers have returned to the country through the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong.
Out of the ten laborers, three went back to their homes via US-Bangla and Biman Bangladesh Airlines planes, while the remaining seven took an Air Arabia aircraft to Abu Dhabi.
Airport Director Group Captain Sheikh Abdullah said the workers arriving at the airport were welcomed by BRAC Migration Program officials.
It is expected that the remaining 33 Bangladeshis will gradually come to their country.
