Apple could launch its biggest iPad Air with 12.9-inch display soon. Here’s what we know so far

It has been stated that Apple is working on releasing the iPad Air 6th Generation, which will have a larger 12.9-inch display and be powered by Apple’s own M2 processor. The 91Mobiles story unveiled the renderings of the forthcoming iPad, which has been speculated since October of last year.

The upcoming iPad Air 12.9-inch will resemble the current model of iPad Air in terms of its allscreen design and compact shell to a 91Mobiles report that cited industry sources. It’s possible that Apple’s newest tablet will include speaker grilles on the bottom reminiscent of the previous model and a Touch ID button on top. A USB-C type connector and a side switch are also reportedly included of the upcoming iPad Air.

Interestingly thebackcameradesign has changed with the rumor claiming that the new iPad Air has a visible border surrounding the lens and LED flash. Apple doesn’t appear to be changing the look of the new iPad Air all that much aside from this.

The next iPad Air 12.9-inch will greatly reduce the price differential between the Pro and Air series giving customers the opportunity to get an Apple larger display without having to pay the premium for the Pro lineup. It’s also possible that the iPad Air 12.9-inch will be larger than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro series because the bezels around it are predicted to be similar to those of the previous generation.

The 10.9-inch screen of the iPad Air 5th generation that is now available may be expanded to two sizes when the next iPad is released later this year by Apple.

Four possible 12.9-inch iPad Air models—codenamed J507, J508, J537, and J538will be available when Apple launches the device. These devices would be offered in cellular and wifi variants.
