Army Officer Stabbed to Death by Robbers in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh
According to authorities, a lieutenant in the Bangladesh Army was slain early today during a joint force operation in the Chakaria Thana of Cox’s Bazar.
Lt Tanjim Sarwar Nirjon, an army officer, was assigned to Ramu Cantonment in Cox’s Bazar. Lt Tanzim Sarwar Nirjon, who is from Tangail, attended Pabna Cadet College in the past. Following the conclusion of the 82nd Long Course, he was commissioned into the Army Service Corps (ASC) by Bangladesh Military Academy on June 8, 2022.
Md Rahmat Ullah, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Cox’s Bazar, verified that Lt Tanjim was killed by thieves in the Dulahazra union during an operation involving many forces.
Sensing the army patrol, a group of seven or eight bandits attempted to flee at around 4:00 am. Lt Tanzim Sarwar Nirjon pursued them.
At this point, the thieves attacked Lt. Tanzim and stabbed him in the neck, seriously wounding him and causing a significant blood loss.
According to ISPR, he was saved right away and brought to Malumghat Memorial Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced him deceased.
