Bangladesh Students Take the Helm: 4-Hour Traffic Management Initiative Led by Adviser Asif Mahmud
Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan said that the students will perform the duty of traffic police for four hours as a part time job.
He said this at a press conference in the meeting room of his ministry at the Secretariat on the occasion of National Youth Day on November 1 on Wednesday (October 30). The adviser said, there is a target of taking 700 students. Initially 300-400 people will be taken for traffic control.
Stating that they will work at the important points of the capital, Asif Mahmud said that traffic congestion is high during these two hours, morning and afternoon, so they will do this work for 4 hours. Students will be considered for permanency upon completion of their studies if they are interested.
