Bangladesh: The new Inspector General of Police Md. Moinul Islam

Md. Moinul has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP). Moinul Islam. This information was confirmed in a notification of the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday.

It is said in the announcement, Md. Moinul Islam has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police. This order issued in public interest will be implemented immediately. Moinul Islam was working as Commandant of Dhaka Traffic and Driving School.

Md. Moinul Islam joined Bangladesh Police Force on January 20, 1991 through 12th BCS. His house is in Panchghar District Sadar Police Station. He completed BSc (Hons) and MSc in Statistics.

Earlier, Chowdhury Abdullah Mamun was removed from the post of Inspector General (IGP) of Bangladesh Police. This decision came through a notification of the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday night. Deputy Secretary Bhaskar Debnath Bappi signed the notification on behalf of the President.

It said that his appointment as Inspector General of Police was canceled as per Article-7 of the contract signed by the government with Abdullah Al Mamun. The notification also informed that this order will be implemented immediately in public interest.
