The three-day festival, which began on Sunday (June 8), has transformed the city into a grand multicultural celebration. Alongside local residents, people from various countries and communities living in Berlin are also participating, proudly showcasing their unique traditions through vivid costumes, traditional music, and lively performances.

Among the participants are members of the Bangladeshi community in Berlin, who are presenting their cultural heritage through street performances, music, and dance. Their colorful parade and spirited displays have captivated the attention of many festival-goers.

The ‘Carnival of Cultures’ is more than just a festival — it is a powerful symbol of Berlin’s rich multiculturalism, ethnic diversity, and peaceful coexistence. Held annually in the spring, this four-day event transforms the streets of Kreuzberg into a dynamic tapestry of music, dance, art, and culture.

At the heart of the celebration is a spectacular parade featuring over 5,000 performers, who showcase their talents in front of more than half a million spectators lined up along the streets.

Berlin’s roads have effectively become an open stage, where people of all races, religions, and backgrounds come together to celebrate unity in diversity.
