Car Driver Abed Ali built luxury houses, farms and gardens, mosques and markets in Bangladesh.
Syed Abed Ali (60), a former driver of Bangladesh Public Works Commission (PSC), has bought more than 10 acres of land in Baligram Union of Dasar Upazila of Madaripur in just two and a half years. Built a three-storied luxury house on about 1 acre of land. Mosque, Ambagan, cow farm and market were built next to the house.
“He was not very familiar with our locality, but within five or six months, he came to his village, started to construct a triplex house, and introduced himself as a candidate for the Dasar Upazila Chairman of Madaripur district in the upcoming poll,” said Meer Mamun, the panel chairman and a member of the Madaripur Zila Parishad, referring to Syed Abed Ali.
Abed Ali, his son Sohanur Rahman and 17 others have been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Bangladesh Railways for their involvement in leaking the question papers of various recruitment exams including Assistant Engineers of Bangladesh Railways.
After that, the matter of his huge wealth including houses, cars and hotels in the capital is coming to light. It has been alleged that he has become the owner of huge wealth by leaking the question paper.
