Environment Advisor Announces Anti-Polythene Drive Starting November 1

In a significant step towards environmental protection, the Environment Advisor of Bangladesh has announced that an anti-polythene drive will commence on November 1. The campaign aims to reduce the use of single-use plastic bags and promote sustainable alternatives.

The advisor emphasized the detrimental impact of polythene bags on the environment, citing issues such as pollution, clogging of drains, and harm to wildlife. The drive will involve strict enforcement of existing laws against the use and production of polythene bags, as well as public awareness campaigns to educate citizens about the alternatives available.

The government has been working to implement policies and initiatives to phase out single-use plastics in recent years. The upcoming anti-polythene drive is a crucial step in achieving this goal and ensuring a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations.
