Former OC of Jatrabari Police Station in Bangladesh, Abul Hasan is on Remand for 7 Days
The case pertaining to the July 18 death of student Sakib Hasan in Jatrabari, the capital, during the quota reform campaign, has resulted in the court remanding Abul Hasan, the previous officer-in-charge (OC) of the Jatrabari police station.
Cox’s Bazar Additional Superintendent of Police, Md. Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, confirmed that Abul Hasan, who previously served as the OC of Jatrabari during a student movement, is currently a Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Inspector.
According to a sub-inspector who works for the court, he was brought in by the police to be questioned about the matter and they requested a 10-day remand. Arifur Rahman remanded for seven days.
As per the police forwarding report that was provided to the court, Abul Hasan was taken into custody on September 17th, coming from Teknaf.
