Holy Eid-E-Miladunnabi on 16th September
Muslims across Bangladesh and around the world will come together to celebrate Eid-E-Miladunnabi on September 16, 2024. This significant Islamic holiday commemorates the birth and life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), revered as a time for reflection, prayer, and communal gatherings.
Festivities will include special prayers at mosques, recitations of the Quran, and sermons highlighting the teachings and virtues of the Prophet Muhammad. Many communities will organize processions and gatherings, decorated with lights and banners, to honor the Prophet’s legacy.
In Dhaka, elaborate celebrations are planned, including a series of religious programs and charity events aimed at fostering a sense of community and compassion. The city’s major mosques will host special prayers and sermons, with many institutions and organizations participating in outreach activities to support the less fortunate.
Public safety and traffic management are key concerns as the celebrations draw large crowds. Authorities have announced enhanced security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of events and the safety of participants. Local traffic authorities will implement temporary road closures and diversions around major prayer venues to manage the flow of vehicles and pedestrians.
