Increased Flooding in Noakhali Due to Continuous Rainfall

Locals say that water has risen in waterlogged areas in the district due to continuous rains. Although the amount of rain has reduced slightly since Sunday morning, the stormy winds have continued.

According to the information of the Deputy Commissioner, 12 lakh 55 thousand 300 people are still trapped in the water that has been created after the flood. 349 shelters have been opened where 40 thousand 271 flood affected people are sheltered. 124 government and 16 private medical teams are ready to deal with any situation. 29 lakh 51 thousand 250 taka in cash, about 51 metric tons of rice, 20 lakh taka baby and cow food are ready.
382 patients are receiving treatment for diarrhea in the eight upazila health complexes and Noakhali General Hospital affected by the flood in the district. Doctors have urged everyone to purify the water to deal with the diarrhea situation.
