In the third phase of the countrywide Covid-19 vaccination drive, certain private hospital chains launched a Covid-19 immunization push for the 18-44 age range at a limited number of locations around the country.

After the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) announced on April 30 that vaccines will not be administered in Mumbai for three days, a private security guard is stationed outside an empty Covid-19 immunization center. Some states have stated that they would be unable to begin the drive on the first day owing to a scarcity of vaccinations.
