IPL: Who Will Be Present at the Opening Ceremony, Including Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan

Only two days left! The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is about to begin. The opening match of this season will be held at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, where the host team, Kolkata Knight Riders, will face Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, before the match, there will be a grand opening ceremony. Indian film stars, players, and several other prominent personalities will be present.

According to a report by Indian media outlet Times of India, both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan will be present at the IPL opening ceremony. Additionally, Priyanka Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, and Sanjay Dutt will also be in attendance at Eden Gardens that day.

Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan will be there in support of his team, KKR. On the other hand, Salman Khan will be attending to promote his upcoming movie, Sikandar. So, there’s no doubt that the opening evening of IPL will be incredibly special for the fans.

Other stars who may be present at the event include Katrina Kaif, Ananya Pandey, Madhuri Dixit, Janhvi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Ayushmann Khurrana, and Sara Ali Khan.

The league authorities had earlier announced that popular singers Arijit Singh, Shreya Ghoshal, Disha Patani, Shraddha Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan will perform at the opening ceremony. The famous American pop band OneRepublic will also perform along with Karan Aujla and Disha Patani. Several legendary cricket stars will also be present at the event.

It is worth mentioning that this 65-day season will feature a total of 74 matches, culminating in the mega final. The 18th edition of IPL will be held across 13 venues.
