JU students block the Dhaka-Aricha highway to protest the killing of garment workers in Bangladesh
The Jahangirnagar University students shut down the Dhaka-Aricha highway in protest of the state forces’ murder of garment workers following the coup.
At the entrance to the university, they obstructed the Dhaka-Aricha highway. There were serious traffic bottlenecks as a result on both sides of the road.
Earlier, during the protest in the Tongibari region of Assharia, Kawsar Hossain Khan, an employee of the Mango Tex Limited plant, was slain by combined forces. At that point, five more employees from other clothing firms were hurt when joint forces fired.
The students stated that it is incomprehensible in the slightest for the state troops to have killed an average worker within the post-coup era. Alongside the students in this demonstration, the workers also took to the streets. The use of deadly weapons on those laborers is just unacceptable in this new Bangladesh.
