Landslide in Malaysia: Two Bangladeshis are Died

While excavating a drain in an area that was still under construction in the Malaysian state of Selangor, two citizens of Bangladesh perished in a landslide. Around 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 9, the accident occurred.

A group of officers and members of Bukit Jelutong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) went there and rescued two Bangladeshi workers aged 30 and 25 after receiving the news of the accident.  However, their names are not known.

Ismail further claimed that they were buried behind the concrete culvert U-box and debris during the drain’s construction, in a 0.3-meter-deep landslide. Their corpses were eventually found there.

The two victims’ bodies have been turned over to the police so they may take further action.

Authorities are currently investigating the exact cause of the landslide and assessing the damage in the affected area. The Malaysian government has expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and is working to provide support and assistance to those affected by the disaster.
