A legal notice has been issued to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) demanding the exclusion of Shakib Al Hasan from the national team and his immediate return to Bangladesh. The notice, filed by a concerned party, cites various reasons for seeking Shakib’s removal from the squad and questions his current status with the team.
Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Sajib Mahmud Alam on behalf of lawyer Muhammad Rafinur Rahman issued a notice of murder case to Bangladesh Cricket Board BCB. On August 22, the case was filed in Adabar police station of DMP on the charge of murdering Rubel, a garment worker.
Shakib Al Hasan has been made an accused in the case. Besides, 156 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Obaidul Quader have been accused in the case. Another 400-500 unidentified people have been accused in the case.
As the legal process unfolds, the BCB is anticipated to address the notice and clarify its stance on Shakib’s role and future with the team.
