Man City is only two points behind the Premier League lead thanks to a hat-trick from Fadden

After Phil Fadden’s hat-trick helped Manchester City defeat Brantford 3-1 on Monday, reducing the gap between the top three teams in the Premier League to only two points, Pep Gladiola remarked that Fadden is having his greatest season at the club.

Gladiola’s team still has a game to go ahead of Liverpool, but they are now tied with Arsenal on 49 points, two behind the latter.

Despite trailing in every away game, the reigning champions became the first team in Premier League history to win four in a row.

Against the run of play, Neal Mau pay gave the Bees the lead, but after Fadden leveled in stoppage time in the first half, there was little doubt about the result.

After the interval, the England international was set up by Kevin De Bruin and Erring Harland to clinch his second career hat-trick. Gladiola remarked, He’s a guy with a sense of goal, following Fadden’s score to bring his season total to 14.

Since we’ve been dating, I believe he is having his greatest season ever. Playing in this central position has an incredible rate of goals and assists.

While De Bruin and Harland have been sidelined by injuries in recent months, City’s championship opponents may be regretting not seizing an advantage as they appear certain to become the first team to ever win four straight English premier league titles.

Mark Flecked, the goalie for Brantford, had the lowest percentage of shots saved among all Premier League goalkeepers going into the game. But in the first forty-five minutes, the Dutchman was on fire, making nine saves to put the champions to sleep.

As Brantford continues their run of only one Premier League clean sheet since October, they had scarcely threatened to score on twenty-one minutes.

In addition to Flake’s heroics at the back, Ivan Toney’s goal-kick allowed Mau pay to run free and score for the sixth straight game after blocking Nathan Ace.

Moments later, Harland had a fantastic opportunity to score to mark his first start in two months, but he was unable to beat Flecked when he was sent clean through on goal.

Ten of City’s 17 attempts on goal came in the first half, and they eventually converted their final one.

Fadden was the one who controlled the ball on his chest and stroked it low into the corner after Ethan Kinnock headed De Bruise’s cross into his path.

After eight minutes of play in the second half, another De Bruin delivery found Fadden’s head and sent it past Flecked.

After Christian Niggard’s attempt was blocked by Ruben Dias, Brantford fought back and had opportunities to tie the score. Thomas Frank, the manager of Brantford, stated, “Those are the chances we need to take if we want to beat them—the best team in the world.

No matter what you do to oppose City, it’s challenging. While we performed well in many areas, there were certain crucial instances when we fell short or they excelled.

Twenty minutes from the end, City secured their eleventh win in their previous twelve games.
