“Matches,” a new song by Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys, is released.
The Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears collaborated on a new song titled “Matches.” On December 11, Spears revealed on her Facebook page that she was working with other icons from the 1990s.
“I’m so excited to hear what you think about our song together!” she told her fans.
The singer posted the song and its accompanying artwork on her YouTube page as well. The electro-pop song begins with Backstreet Boys singing, and then Spears comes in, singing about a risky form of love.
One of the new songs Spears wrote for the 2020 reissue of her ninth studio album Glory is “Matches.” She also released “Swimming in the Stars” on December 2, the day of her 39th birthday, before the aforementioned song.
