North Korea and Russia have close ties. Kim and Putin met last September. Since then, the relationship between the two countries has become stronger. Russia has been isolated over the Ukraine war. On the other hand, North Korea is isolated internationally for its nuclear weapons program.
Kim’s top official received the Russian-made automobile on February 18, according to North Korea’s official news agency KCNA. Additionally, Kim’s sister thanked Putin, according to KCNA. This car is an indication of Kim and Putin’s strong relationship, he claimed.
Nevertheless, the story omitted information regarding the car’s appearance and its importation process from Russia. Kim is quite interested in automobiles.
Kim has a collection of luxury foreign cars. There are doubts about how Kim uses luxury foreign cars in violation of UN Security Council export bans. Most of the cars in Kim’s collection are believed to be smuggled from abroad.
The West claims that Russia supplies North Korea with shells, rockets and ballistic missiles. However, North Korea has always denied such allegations. The Kremlin has never said anything clear about this.
