Patsy Palmer will play Bianca again on East Enders.
She gained notoriety most likely for calling her partner in East Enders “Rickaaaaay!”
However, Patsy Palmer is scheduled to return to the BBC One soap opera as the fiery Bianca Jackson for a brief period this spring, more than thirty years after she was originally cast in the part.
After more than four years away, the 51-year-old actress declared she was “so excited” to be coming back.
According to the BBC, she has already begun recording her sequences.
“East Enders holds such a special place in my heart,” Palmer stated. “So it’s always a pleasure to be back.”
Max Bowden is quitting his role as Ben Mitchell on East Enders.
East Enders unveils its first drag queen character and wins best soap opera at the British Soap Awards.
In 1993, at the age of 21, Palmer made her soap opera debut as 16-year-old Bianca, the acerbic daughter of Lindsey Carlson’s Carol Jackson.
Like many of the people living in Albert Square, Bianca has experienced her fair share of difficulties.
Her turbulent romantic relationship with Sid Owens’s character Ricky Butcher was one of her stories.
The pair gained notoriety for their occasionally humorous confrontations, with Bianca frequently calling out his name in the middle of the plaza.
When East Enders reached 25 in 2010, they were married again after divorcing in the show in 1999.
She also found out that the fictional David Wicks was her father and that Whitney Dean, played by Shone McGarty, her adolescent stepdaughter, was being molested.
Prior to the pandemic, Bianca had her most recent appearance in Welford in September 2019.
She will receive a visit from Whitney in the next episodes in Milton Keynes, where she currently resides, after their off-screen breakup with Terry Sprigged, played by Terry Alder ton.
“However, Chaos quickly follows,” the BBC said.
Chris Crenshaw, East Enders’ executive producer, said: “I’m thrilled to welcome the fabulous Patsy back to the iconic role of Bianca Jackson.”
He claimed that “Bianca still remains a fan favorite” in spite of her more than four-year absence from the program.
“We know our audiences will be thrilled at her return as she is thrust into the heart of the drama alongside step-daughter Whitney.”
Palmer, who is also a DJ, left her former role on East Enders in 2014 and moved to the US with her family.
In 2005, she participated in Strictly Come Dancing on BBC One. Last year, she was a contestant on ITV1’s Dancing On Ice.
