Platinum Jubilee Crowds cheer Queen at palace as Jubilee begins
Thousands flocked to The Mall to commemorate the Queen’s 70-year reign, waving flags in the dazzling sunshine.
The four-year-old great-grandson Prince Louis and Prince Charles were there to support the 96-year-old as he watched a flypast with 17 other royals.
During the ceremony, the Queen appeared happy as she and Prince Louis conversed.
But the little prince was seen cupping his ears and firmly closing his eyes, clearly overwhelmed by the volume of the seventy-odd aircraft flypast.
The longest reigning British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II will be honored with a full weekend of festivities beginning with the parade.
The Prince of Wales reviewed the troops in his mother’s place while mounted and donning the Platinum Jubilee medal with his outfit.
The Queen’s mobility has been a difficulty for her lately, as seen by the walking stick she was using.
As the soldiers marched towards Buckingham Palace at the end of the procession, the Queen emerged onto the balcony to shouts from the spectators.
