Qatar Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in India After Passenger’s Health Crisis

A Qatar Airways flight traveling from Doha to Dhaka was forced to make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad, Telangana, India, after a female passenger experienced a sudden health emergency.

The incident occurred on the morning of Wednesday, March 5, when the flight, QR642, requested emergency landing permission from the airport’s Air Traffic Control (ATC) after the passenger fell critically ill. The ATC granted the request, allowing the aircraft to land safely at RGIA.

Upon arrival, airport authorities were quick to respond, preparing an ambulance to transport the passenger to the airport’s medical center. Despite swift medical intervention, the passenger was declared dead after being examined by doctors at the facility.

The flight, which had been en route to Dhaka, resumed its journey at 3:42 AM local time, following the tragic incident. The cause of the passenger’s death is currently unknown.

Qatar Airways has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident. Further investigations are expected to determine the details surrounding the woman’s sudden death.
