Ramadan begins “extreme hunger” in Gaza.

The head of UNRWA reports that “extreme hunger” is spreading quickly in Gaza as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan approaches. Two more Palestinians pass away in north Gaza from famine and raising the total number of deaths from malnutrition to 25.

At least fifteen individuals, including women and children were killed by Israeli forces during heightened attacks throughout the Gaza Strip in the Nuseirat refugee camp and the al-Mawasi neighborhood in southern Gaza.

UNRWA has received financing again from Canada and Sweden after the organization accused Israel of pressuring some of its employees to make false claims about their affiliation with Hamas.

Israel’s intelligence service claims truce discussions are ongoing while Hamas chairman Ismail Haniyeh urges Israel’s allies to “stop this heinous war on Gaza.”

Israeli attacks on Gaza since October 7 had resulted in at least 31,045 Palestinian deaths and 72,654 injuries. A revised total of 1,139 people have died in Israel as a result of Hamas’s October 7 strikes and many more are still detained.
