Saudi Arabia Temporarily Suspends Visas for 13 Countries Ahead of Hajj Season
In preparation for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia has announced a temporary suspension of visas for citizens of 13 countries, including Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan. This measure, aimed at ensuring safety, managing overcrowding, and preventing unauthorized activities, applies to Umrah, business, and family visit visas.
According to reports, the visa suspension is expected to remain in effect until mid-June. However, Umrah visa holders will still be permitted entry into Saudi Arabia until April 13. The affected countries are Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Nigeria, Jordan, Algeria, Sudan, Ethiopia, Tunisia, and Yemen.

The Saudi government has emphasized strict compliance with the new regulations, warning that individuals who violate the ban by overstaying or entering illegally may face a five-year entry prohibition. Additionally, Pakistan has been officially informed of the decision, with Umrah visa holders instructed to leave Saudi Arabia by April 29.
This policy reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to regulate travel during the Hajj season and ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience for all participants. Normal visa processing is expected to resume after mid-June.
