Secretaries have to Ensure the Best Use of Public Money in Bangladesh: Chief Adviser
The temporary government’s main adviser has issued an order to make sure public funds are used as efficiently as possible. Yunus Muhammad.
According to him, the public interest should be given top priority when managing government operations, and this may be achieved by changing the mindset away from dogmatic thinking. He issued a “marching order” at this point for reform initiatives to be accepted and carried out at all governmental levels.
Mohammad Yunus presided over the meeting and the secretaries of ministries and departments participated in the meeting.
The Chief Adviser said that standing on the conviction of the students to build a humane country without discrimination, the fearless thinking that has gifted us, we have to build a new Bangladesh with honesty and dedication in our own field and rise to a sense of justice.
He also said that maximum satisfaction of the people should be achieved through easy delivery of services by removing corruption and besides this the best use of public money should be made. There should be fair competition, transparency in government procurement.
