Strong Criticism of Bangladesh Batters
If Bangladesh had batted two sessions on the final day, they could have salvaged the contest. However, after dropping wickets on the fifth day of Kanpur, Bangladesh’s batting collapsed in the opening session. Later on, India won the match with ease. Sunil Gavaskar is content with his nation’s strength. In his assessment of Bangladesh, this legend did, however, harshly criticize Nazmul Hossain Shanta’s batting strategy.
Even though Kanpur was delayed more than two and a half days owing to rain, India prevailed in the match.
In an Indian media interview, Gavaskar blasted the Bangladeshi batsmen, saying, “I think they (the batsmen) forgot that it was a Test match.” The day still has a great deal of time remaining in it. We witnessed a few shots from Shanter; a superb shot is one that is within the boundary. However, you need to consider your options if it doesn’t work.
But Bangladesh’s head coach Chandika Hathurusingha also attributes the team’s defeat on the team’s batting collapse.
