Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have ‘no plan’ to tie the knot soon
Despite persistent rumors, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are not currently thinking about getting engaged.
This summer Travis and Taylor do not want to tie the knot, an exclusive insider tells Us Weekly. “Things are going great between them, but they still have a lot to learn about each other even though they haven’t been dating for a year.”
The insider adds that both Swift and Kelce, 34, are aware that “a lot of their loved ones” would be overjoyed if the football player proposed, “and some may even believe” it will happen soon. However, Swift and Kelce do not want to make that move “anytime soon.”
The European portion of Swift’s Eras Tour and Kelce’s NFL offseason fall inside the same month that Swift and Kelce are eager to tie the knot this summer. A second insider earlier told Us in December 2023 that Kelce wanted to “go out and meet” Swift on tour “as much as he can” when the football season ended.
Taylor and Kelce have been dating since Summer 2023, when the Kansas City Chiefs tight end featured her on his “New Heights” podcast. During the July 2023 Eras performance, Kelce mentioned in the show that he did not get to meet her in person or exchange friendship bracelet numbers.
Swift said, “So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other,” and we immediately hit it off.
When Swift went to her first Chiefs football game in September 2023, she made her relationship public. They had already established themselves as a serious “couple” by then, the Grammy winner told TIME. Swift has subsequently become a regular at Kelce’s games throughout the regular NFL season. The Chiefs’ opening playoff game is scheduled for Saturday, January 13.
