TAYLOR SWIFT’S 2021 YEAR IN REVIEW: POWER AND FREEDOM ARE ALWAYS IN STYLE

Taylor Swift appears on our social media feeds almost every week and with good reason. Some may say that Swift had a breakthrough  last year, with the unexpected arrival of Folklore pulling us out of a pandemic of sorrow and topping charts left and right. However, Swift’s 2021 momentum eclipses the subdued enchantment of 2020 with the release of Evermore, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), Red (Taylor’s Version), Folklore receiving the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year and Swift winning the 2021 BRIT Global Icon Award.

Scooter Braun is now well-known for a variety of reasons, including Swift calling him a “incessant, manipulative bully” for denying her the right to her own artistic output after he purchased the Big Machine label in 2019. However, Swift being the Millennial that she is, decided to take matters into her own hands. She rewrote history and regained control over her creative output by re-recording and re-mastering every track from her first six studio albums.
