Test of Rajkot If Ashwin is able to play today, are you able to bowl?
When Ravichandran Ashbin learned that his mother was unwell, he did not hesitate. left the test in Rajkot for Chennai. Ashwin was therefore absent on the third day of the Test match against England. It has been announced by the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) that Ashwin will miss the Rajkot Test.
But in this Test, Ashwin is able to come back. During the first over of the fourth day of the Rajkot Test, Dinesh Karthik, a commentator and former teammate of Ashwin, stated in the commentary room. Karthik stated in his remark that Kuldeep Yadav had informed him of this.
The cricket news website ESPNcricinfo states that Ashwin is expected to go to Rajkot with the team this afternoon over lunch. If so, Ashwin might be spotted on the field at the start of today’s second session.
Karthik stated yesterday in the commentary box that Ashwin does not need to wait to bowl; if he returns, he may do so as soon as he steps onto the field. As long as he is out, a cricket player must remain on the field before bowling or batting, according the rules.
But because Ashwin’s situation is unique, the umpires won’t prohibit him from bowling. The Indian spinner became the ninth bowler in history to reach the milestone of 500 wickets before leaving the Rajkot Test due to his mother’s illness. Which is the second fastest to take 500 wickets in a match. It took him 98 matches. At the top, Sri Lankan spin legend Mutual Muralitharan took his 500th wicket in 87 matches. Ashwin is the third fastest in terms of time. Muralitharan and Glenn McGrath are above him in this regard.
