The Body of a Person Hanging from the Gorai River Railway Bridge in Kushtia, Bangladesh has been Recovered

This morning in Kumarkhali thana, Kushtia, a man’s body was observed hanging from a beam beneath the rail tracks of a bridge over the Gorai river.

It was not immediately possible to determine the man’s age or identity.

Around eight in the morning, locals noticed the body hanging on the bridge and alerted the authorities, Kushtia Superintendent of Police Mizanur Rahman told a local correspondent. According to the police official, a picture of the body has already gone viral on social media.

According to Officer-in-Charge Harun Or Rashid of the Railway Police Station, a team of police officers has already left for the scene to retrieve the body.

One of the team members, Sub-Inspector Nargis, stated at approximately 11:00 am that the bad weather prevented them from getting to the area, therefore they had not yet recovered the body.
