The government desires to create an international education system.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina declared that her government aims to establish an international education system in Bangladesh that will be modeled after the curricula of prestigious universities worldwide.
“We will provide funding for any needs related to schooling. There are well-known worldwide universities; we must observe their methods of instruction. Which curriculum and approach do they employ? “Our goal is to establish an international education system in Bangladesh,” the speaker stated.
At a ceremony held at her office, the premier made this statement while launching a free textbook distribution program by giving books to pre-primary, primary, and secondary school pupils in the morning.
In order to generate employment prospects in the nation, she also emphasized the importance of practical learning-based education.
Sheikh Hasina stated that she wished for students to receive this kind of education from an early age and that she wanted to build a country with modern technology-knowledge-based education.
She noted that as a result, technical education and vocational training are valued by her government.
“We aim to create a country where education is based on knowledge and contemporary technologies. Everything has already been done for it,” she continued.
Speaking of the current era as the age of advanced knowledge and technology, Sheikh Hasina declared, “We will never fall behind. We need to stay up with other nations. so we desire that our boys and girls master technology at a young age.”
“We want our country to keep pace with the world,” she continued. We must therefore alter our educational program.”
The prime minister cited Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation, in saying that Bangabandhu once thought of the cost of education as an investment rather than an expense.
She urged the children to focus on their studies, saying that while wealth may be acquired in numerous ways, education is one thing that cannot be taken away. Without education, life becomes failure.
“We want to use versatile education to build the nation.” We most definitely need a knowledgeable, skilled populace if we are to create a smart Bangladesh,” she went on.
The chief of state stated that Bangladesh is a poverty-free nation, emphasizing the value of education in eradicating poverty.
“A nation cannot be liberated from poverty except through education. We have prioritized education above anything else because of this,” she stated.
Sheikh Hasina wished everyone a happy new year in 2024 during the textbook distribution ceremony on the eve of the year 2024.
The welcome speech was given by Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury, who was seated in the chair by Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni.
Md. Zakir Hossen, the state minister for primary and mass education, also gave a speech during the event.
