The President of the UAE Pardoned 57 Bangladeshis who were Sentenced to Prison in the Month of July
57 Bangladeshis were sentenced to different terms of imprisonment. The reason for this is that they have been registered against the former government of Bangladesh for protesting in July.
Recently, the President of the United Arab Emirates announced the pardon of those 57 Bangladeshis and started the process of sending them back to the country.
In the first week of July, the Federal Court of Appeal in Abu Dhabi sentenced 57 Bangladeshis to various terms of imprisonment in the United Arab Emirates. The country’s news agency WAM reported that the convicts had been pardoned and sent back and pardoned by President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The country’s Attorney General, Hamad Al Shamsi, suspended the execution of the sentence and ordered the repatriation process to begin, and he called on all people in the UAE to abide by the country’s laws.
