The World Bank is Interested in Providing 3.5 Billion Dollar Loan Assistance to Bangladesh

Bangladesh will receive a loan assistance of 3.5 billion dollars from the World Bank to promote reforms in multiple industries.

On the fringes of the UN General Assembly, World Bank President Ajay Banga meet with Bangladesh’s Chief Advisor, Professor Muhammad Yunus, at the UN headquarters in New York. The World Bank committed to offering this financing assistance during the meeting.

According to Ajay Banga, 1.5 billion will come from already-existing programs and the remaining 2 billion would come from new loans. Additionally, he declared that the World Bank will back reforms in the energy and power, transportation, digitalization, and liquidity sectors.
