Bangladesh’s Home Advisor has confirmed that there is no doubt about the security of Indian citizens residing in the country.

Home Advisor Lieutenant General (retired) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, emphasized that the safety and well-being of Indian nationals in Bangladesh are of paramount importance to the government. Jahangir Alam said that “there is no fear about the safety of Indian citizens in Bangladesh”. Full security will be provided by the government. “We want to make it absolutely clear that there is no question regarding the safety of Indian citizens in Bangladesh,” Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury stated. “The government has implemented comprehensive security measures to ensure their protection and to address any concerns that may arise.”

Authorities have been instructed to enhance vigilance and promptly address any security issues involving foreign nationals. The assurance has been well-received by the Indian community in Bangladesh, which has expressed gratitude for the government’s proactive stance. Both governments continue to collaborate on various matters of mutual interest, and maintaining a safe environment for citizens of both nations remains a top priority.
