Two Microbus Collisions in Sherpur, Bangladesh: 17 Injuries, Including 5 Children
A head-on accident between two microbuses in the Nabinagar technical section of the Sherpur-Dhaka route injured seventeen persons, five of whom were children. Thirteen of them are in critical condition.
Today at approximately 5:30 AM, the accident occurred.
The identities of the 17 people hurt in the collision are yet unknown. All of the injured were first sent to Sherpur Sadar Hospital, according to Muhammad Jahangir Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Sherpur Sadar Police Station. Subsequently, because of their grave condition, 13 patients were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
A microbus was going from the airport area towards Dhaka and another microbus was going from Sherpur and the two collided head on.
Hospital sources have confirmed that several of the injured are receiving treatment for fractures and internal injuries. The condition of the critically injured individuals remains under close observation.
