Yesterday, Six People Died of Dengue in One Day in Bangladesh
Yesterday, Bangladesh reported the greatest number of dengue deaths in a single day this year, six deaths. Five was the previous highest number of deaths.
Meanwhile, 986 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals during the course of the day until this morning’s dawn, which is also a record for a single day this year. According to the DGHS, there have been 131 dengue deaths overall this year, and there have been 24,034 cases.
In the past, 887 cases of dengue were hospitalized in a single day.
Four of the patients who passed away yesterday did so in Dhaka, and one each in Barisal and Chittagong.
There are 2,822 dengue patients receiving treatment at various hospitals throughout the nation at the moment.
