Rickshaw Driver Killed by Robber’s Knife in Bangladesh
In Sutrapur, the capital, a robber stabbed a rickshaw puller to death. After he halted the rickshaw hijacking, the passenger robbers fatally stabbed him.
The event happened on Friday at around 3 p.m. in the Loharpool neighborhood of Sutrapur. The rickshaw driver who passed away was Jinnah (52). After being admitted to Dhaka Medical by his relatives, he passed away around 4:30 in the morning. An employee who drove Jinnah to the hospital was working at a garage in the Loharpur neighborhood. Around three in the afternoon, according to Sabbir Hossain, they were seated in the garage in front of the Sutrapur Dhupkhola field. He heard the man screaming out on the street at that moment. Moving forward, he discovered that he had sustained stabbings to his head, chest, and back. They drove the rickshaw driver to Dhaka Medical right away.
According to Yusuf, his father left the house at around midnight in his battery-operated rickshaw. He called them from his mobile phone after three in the evening to tell them that a robber had attacked him. He was hurt when he was brought to Dhaka Medical.
The body has been placed in the morgue awaiting an autopsy, according to Md. Farooq, the Inspector in Charge of the DMK Hospital Police Outpost. The Sutrapur police station was notified of the occurrence.
