Israel Agrees to 60-Days Ceasefire Conditions, Says Trump
In a move to halt the ongoing bloodshed in Gaza, Israel has agreed to the proposed conditions for a 60-day ceasefire. U.S. President Donald Trump shared this information on Tuesday.
In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated that the United States will work closely with all relevant parties to ensure a complete halt to hostilities during the ceasefire period.
Although the detailed terms of the agreement have not been disclosed yet, Trump emphasized, “During this time, we will work with all sides to achieve a permanent end to the war.”
He further acknowledged the crucial roles of Qatar and Egypt in facilitating the negotiations, saying they are working hard to finalize the proposal. Trump expressed hope that Hamas would accept the offer, noting, “This is the best deal they are going to get. If they reject it, things could only get worse.”

On October 7, 2023, fighters from Hamas, the Palestinian armed resistance group, launched a surprise attack on Israel. According to Israeli sources, approximately 1,200 people were killed, and over 200 others were taken hostage and brought to Gaza.
In response, Israel began a large-scale military operation on the same day in the blockaded Gaza Strip. Since then, relentless Israeli airstrikes and ground assaults have continued. According to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, more than 56,600 Palestinians have been killed so far, with the number of injured exceeding hundreds of thousands.
