New York City police report attacking a south Korean diplomat.
Diplomat. In what the police called a “unprovoked” attack, a South Korean diplomat was attacked in New York City on Wednesday night and hit in the face.
The New York City Police Department reports that at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call regarding an attack that had occurred in Midtown Manhattan close to West 35th Street and 5th Avenue.
“When the police arrived, they saw a male, 52, who was in discomfort and had swelling in his face. An unidentified adult male approached the victim, struck him in the face, and then ran away on foot in the direction of 6 Avenue, according to a police statement obtained by The Hill.
After doing additional investigation, the police claim that an unidentified adult man approached the victim, struck him in the face, and ran away.
