Storm forecast in eight regions of Bangladesh

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has predicted a storm with a speed of 60 km with thunder in 8 regions of the country by 1 pm. The agency has also asked the river ports of these regions to show warning signals.

Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department gave this information in the weather forecast for the country’s inland river ports on Saturday (August 24). According to the Met office, rain/thundershower with gusty/gusty wind speed of 45-60 km per hour is likely to occur over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions by 1 pm. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.
