US Is Shaken by Violence Before Holiday
On November 22, a 39-year-old driver drove through a Christmas parade in Wisconsin, causing at least 5 deaths and 48 injuries.
The suspect was released on bond two weeks earlier after being arrested for domestic violence.
The attack did not appear to have a motive or a police chase. On November 24, an 8-year-old child died from his injuries, becoming the sixth victim of the Wisconsin parade crash.
On November 28, at least one person was shot and killed in front of a Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California. The driver exited with a knife and was shot by military personnel.
On November 28, at least three people were injured in a crowded mall in Durham, North Carolina. Police are still investigating the situation, but believe the shooting was between two groups that knew each other.
On November 27, a shooting inside a Nashville apartment left 3 people dead and 4 wounded. On November 27, at least one person was shot at the Tacoma Mall in Washington, and police are still searching for the suspect.
